摘要: The interaction between electrons and lattice vibrations is one of the fundamental processes in solids. In this lecture, we wish to examine semiconductors. Although methods are going develop general enough be applicable all classes semiconductors insulators, analysis most transparent probably also useful if confine our concern technologically important class semiconductors, i.e. group IV, III–V, II–VI materials. With exception some II–VI’s, these can grown with high purity, easily doped have mobility — properties desirable for device applications.
