摘要: BACKGROUND. Clinicopathologic variables, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), nuclear DNA ploidy, and proliferating cell labeling index (PCNA LI) have been studied for their effect on patients with various types of cancer. METHODS. Thirteen clinicopathologic preoperative serum CEA levels, PCNA LI, ploidy patterns, survival were 57 colorectal carcinoma patients, the mutual relation between these tumor progression, analyzed. RESULTS. Seven variables including undifferentiated adenocarcinoma, deep invasion, lymphatic venous node metastasis, liver advanced stages significantly greater positive (> 5.0 ng/mL) than negative ( 49.4%) low LI (< 49.4%). No significant difference was observed in any diploid or aneuploid A close relationship representing a formula, Y (log CEA, = 0.026X %) - 0.478, found level LI. Survival curves those high However, no different patterns. CONCLUSIONS. Serum cancer is useful evaluation progression prognosis. Analysis appears to be unavailable this evaluation.
