摘要: Over the past 15 years, investigators have reported on utility and safety of cardiac glycosides for numerous health benefits including those as treatments malignant disease, stroke-mediated ischemic injury certain neurodegenerative diseases. In addition to those, there is a growing body evidence novel antiviral effects selected glycoside molecules. One unique glycoside, oleandrin derived from Nerium oleander, has been activity specifically against 'enveloped' viruses HIV HTLV-1. Importantly, recent publication presented in vitro oleandrin's ability inhibit production infectious virus particles when used treatment prior to, well after infection by SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19. This review will highlight known present previously unpublished this Ebola virus, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes simplex viruses.
