摘要: Photoprotection of the chloroplast is an important component abiotic stress resistance in plants. Carotenoids have a central role photoprotection. We review here recent evidence, derived mainly from vitro reconstitution recombinant Lhc proteins with different carotenoids and carotenoid biosynthesis mutants, for existence mechanisms photoprotection regulation based on xanthophyll binding to into multiple sites exchange chromophores between during exposure plants high light operation cycle.
