摘要: Aminoglycoside antibiotics are widely used against Gram-negative infections. On the other hand, nephrotoxicity is a deleterious side effect associated with aminoglycoside therapy. Gentamicin most nephrotoxic aminoglycoside. Because of serious health complications ensue induced by aminoglycosides, finding new therapeutic strategies this problem has great clinical value. This study attempted to compare properties gentamicin and nanosized formulation drug in mice model. Animals were treated (100 mg/kg, i.p. for eight consecutive days) nanogentamicin days). Blood urea nitrogen (BUN), plasma creatinine levels, histopathological changes kidney proximal tubule monitored. It was found that caused severe degeneration cells an increase serum BUN. No injury observed after administration. proved less nephrotoxic.
