摘要: Abstract In the present study relative densities of a number G protein subunits were quantified in membranes prepared from hippocampus, temporal cortex and angular gyrus Alzheimer's disease control post-mortem brain by immunoblotting with specific polyclonal antisera against Gsα, Giα, Giα-1, Goα Gs subunits. addition, basal, Gs-stimulated Gi-inhibited adenylyl cyclase activities measured same hippocampal membrane samples. Densitometric analysis immunoblot data revealed 58% reduction levels 75% cortex. Giα reduced, 37% cases. The ratio large to small molecular weight isoforms Gsα subunit was significantly increased both hippocampus samples when compared values, although difference individual isoform did not attain statistical significance comparing groups. No statistically significant differences observed or activity reduced controls, whereas unchanged. between for either basal forskolin stimulated activity. correlated ratio. We conclude that are selectively altered different regions brain. These alterations may contribute functional changes CNS modifying signal transduction pathways.
