摘要: Abstract Studies on the microbial ecology of gut microbiota in bats are limited and such information is necessary determining ecological significance these hosts. Short-nosed fruit ( Cynopterus brachyotis ) good candidates for studies given their close association with humans urban areas. Thus, this study explores species from Peninsular Malaysia by means biochemical tests 16S rRNA gene sequences analysis. The estimation viable bacteria present stomach intestine C. b. ranged 3.06 × 10 10 to 1.36 × 10 15 CFU/ml fluid 1.92 × 10 6.10 × 10 intestinal fluid. A total 34 isolates seven were retrieved. 16 eight genera Bacillus , Enterobacter Enterococcus Escherichia Klebsiella Pantoea Pseudomonas Serratia identified, Enterobacteriaceae being most prevalent, contributing 12 out isolated. Most Family have been reported as pathogens wildlife. With possibility human wildlife transmission, findings focus importance reservoirs potential bacterial pathogens.
