摘要: Image-guided small animal irradiators have the potential to make a significant impact on facilitating translation of radiobiological research into clinic. To fully exploit improved precision in dose delivery target/tumour while minimizing surrounding tissues, minimal positional error target is required. However, for many sites within thorax and abdomen, respiratory motion may be critical factor limiting accuracy beam until now, very little attention has been paid management this motion. We report implications with respect negative delivered distributions their assessment, ways being developed effectively manage motion, so that only occurs during stationary resting phase breathing cycle, comment need integrate these developments software used plan control delivery. Altogether, implementation respiratory-gated imaging will lead improvements constitutes an important development preclinical radiotherapy studies.
