摘要: The human placenta synthesizes 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and expresses the vitamin D receptor. Because preeclampsia (PE) is associated with low circulating levels of maternal IGF-I, it possible that alterations in calcium metabolism seen PE could occur at level fetoplacental unit. In this study, patterns gene expression enzyme activity 25-hydroxyvitamin d-1α-hydroxylase (1α-hydroxylase) abundance IGF-I mRNA placentas from normal (NT) PE-complicated pregnancies were investigated.
