摘要: Abstract Arachidonic acid (AA) metabolism, including mediator release and lipid turnover, was explored in [ 3 H]AA-radiolabelled alveolar macrophages obtained from guinea-pigs actively sensitized to ovalbumin (sAM) controls (cAM). The basal allergen-induced AA metabolism of cAM sAM were examined the presence absence homologous serum same control or animals. Basal involved lipoxygenase cylooxygenase H]metabolites free H]AA into culture medium. However, sAM, production significantly lower than cAM. allergen had no effect on cultured serum. In contrast, it increased H]LTC 4 -D with but not those scrum. disappeared when heated for 1 h 56°C. Our results suggest that two factors, both induced by active sensitization guinea-pigs, one are required have an impact increasing 5-lipoxygenase metabolites.
