摘要: We studied life-history characteristics of Alaskan moose (Alces alces gigas) including the effects maternal condition adult females (>33 months old) on sunival and physical young during their first year-of-life. also examined relation behveen reproductive parameters individual moose, tested for those timing synchrony parturition. \t7e radiotracked fernales captured in both March 1996 1997 throughout year with intensive monitoring occurring spring early summner. That procedure enabled us to capture offspring xire monitored record other variables related success. Females greater nlmp fat thickness had higher rates pregnancy, gave birth more hvins. produced masses than did less rump fat. Time-to-death indi~idual increased as rnass decreased date litter size increased; variables, lio\ve\~er. not act upon time-to-death independently. Our results indicated influenced subsequent associated wit11 birth, which ultimately affected f i~ t~ t r e offspring. Further, reproduction varied 2 years, births earlier but synchronously i11 1997. Time parturition occurred ferr~ales thickest outcolne that was result e~nironmental factors acting fe~nales prior giving rather attempting avoici predation.
