摘要: Abstract OBJECTIVE: This study assesses the value of two recombinant birch allergens for diagnosis patients sensitized to pollen with or without associated food allergy. METHODS: Fifty-one positive skin test responses Betulaceae and seven nonallergic control subjects were investigated; specific IgE antibodies evaluated by immunoassay blot immunodetection. RESULTS: Among 51 patients, 47 reacted rBet v 1 10 2. Seven both allergens. In prick tests we found a correlation between wheal produced commercial extract 1. 1, 83% had binding Bet protein as determined immunoblotting. 2, six Eleven negative results, immunoblotting, low levels in sera ( n = 7) did not react 2 tests, nor they have detectable amounts Histamine release confirmed sensitization discordant results; one patient results only at high concentration, that remained negative. Thirty-four pollinosis, all Patients who monosensitized never Sensitization was other pollens (mainly grass). Twenty-nine demonstrated allergy apples, cherries, hazelnuts; 11 Umbelliferae, three CONCLUSIONS: Use (rBet 2) always permits sensitization. is Rosaceae allergies, whereas profilin, encountered multisensitized related Umbelliferae (J ALLERGY CLIN IMMUNOL 1996;97:1100-9.)
