摘要: An issue of major concern in the behavioral treatment posttraumatic stress disorders (PTSD) is extent to which extinction anxiety memory one event generalizes other traumatic events that individual may have experienced. In present study each two Vietnam veterans presented multiple from combat reoccurred form intrusive thoughts, nightmares, and flashbacks. Using imaginal flooding as treatment, it was possible document effect treating upon anxiety-provoking nature remaining traumas. For first patient, subjective units distress measures (SUDS) verified efficacy provided some evidence for generalization along thematic (stimulus) cues. With second physiological data conjunction with SUDS ratings documented relative independence associated different events.
