摘要: A variety of histologic tumor types are present in the anterior skull base. Primary tumors this area may be derived from bone, paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx, dura, cranial nerves, pituitary gland and brain. Symptoms caused mostly through mass effect but, if becomes aggressive, also invasion. Selection surgical approaches to base is based upon balancing risk reduction with maximizing extent resection. Here we review a spectrum neoplastic entities found adults discuss clinical radiographic presentation, treatment options, outcomes. Surgical resection remains mainstay these tumors, particularly hands experienced surgeons exercising proper patient case selection.
