摘要: Adult roe deer males show seasonal cycles of testicular growth and involution. The exact timing these requires endocrine regulation local control by autocrine/paracrine factors. Recent findings suggest that the vascular endothelial factor (VEGF) might have effects on both germinative cells in testis. Thus, we studied expression pattern testis using quantitative RT-PCR. strength VEGF mRNA depended season. It reached its highest level at peak spermatogenesis during pre-rutting period had nadir end rut when involution already began. results suggested may directly affect but not be involved predominantly microvasculature as initially expected.
