摘要: BACKGROUND Relapses occur frequently in patients with lupus nephritis. Renal biopsy is the gold standard for assessing renal activity and hence guiding treatment. Whether repeat helpful during flares of nephritis remains inconclusive. In present study, we retrospectively reviewed who had more than one hope to find clinical value biopsy. METHODS Patients a diagnosis two or biopsies were selected from database patient pathology registration at this division. was evaluated according International Society Nephrology/Renal Pathology (ISN/RPS) classification The pathological patterns treatment regimens analyzed after RESULTS We identified 44 systemic erythematosus serial biopsies. total, there 94 Overall, transition occurred 64% instances ISN/RPS class. When proliferative, membranous mix lesions, it showed different profile: 35% proliferative lesion, 23.5% 100% pure lesion. could not be predicted by any characteristics. After biopsy, 34% change their regimens. CONCLUSIONS conversion very prevalent However, transitions became less when they membranous, Repeat might avoid unnecessary increased immunosuppression therapy.
