摘要: The prevalence of obesity has been increasing in recent decades and is reaching epidemic proportions. current options for overweight management are energy restriction physical activity. However, compliance with these treatments frequently poor less successful than expected. Therefore, the scientific community interested active biomolecules, which may be useful body weight management. Among them, resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) generated great interest as an antiobesity agent. focus this report mechanisms action on several tissues (i.e., white brown adipose tissues, liver, skeletal muscle). Resveratrol blunts fat accumulation through decreasing adipogenesis and/or de novo lipogenesis tissue. effects lipolysis controversial. Regarding tissue, increases capacity adaptive thermogenesis. As far liver muscle concerned, lipid oxidation both tissues. rodents, there a general consensus concerning effect reducing accumulation. By contrast, humans, studies scarce, no clear revealed so far.
