摘要: Background The usefulness of adriamycin (ADR), a potent antitumor antibiotic, is limited by the development life-threatening cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Subcellular changes leading to failure are suggested be mediated drug-induced increase in free radicals lipid peroxidation. In an earlier study, concurrent treatment with probucol (PROB), lipid-lowering drug strong antioxidant properties, was shown offer only partial protection against ADR cardiomyopathy. present study had two aims: determine whether this protective effect can improved further extended PROB, PROB affects properties ADR.
