摘要: Gastric cancer is ranked as the most common in Koreans. A recent molecular biological study about folate pathway gene revealed correlation with a couple of types. In pathway, several genes are involved, including methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR), methyltetrahydrofolate-homocysteine methyltransferase (MTRR), and (MTR). The MTHFR has been reported times for gastric risk. However, association MTRR or MTR not to date. this study, we investigated between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) MTHFR, MTRR, risk To identify genetic cancer, selected 17 SNPs sites pathway-associated MTR, tested 1,261 patients 375 healthy controls. By genotype analysis, estimating odds ratios 95% confidence intervals (CI), rs1801394 showed increased cacner, statistical significance both codominant model (odds ratio [OR], 1.39; CI, 1.04 1.85) dominant (OR, 1.34; 1.02 1.75). Especially, obese group (body mass index ≥ 25 kg/m2), 9.08; 1.01 94.59) recessive 3.72; 0.92 16.59) dramatically (p < 0.05). conclusion, associated risk, its functional need be validated.
