摘要: The title of this chapter, ‘The Role Oncogenes in the Pathogenesis Malignant Melanoma,’ intimates knowledge a specific action an oncogene(s) which is directly involved development melanoma; none yet known. As writing, genetic changes that lead to malignant transformation disease are unknown. Moreover, there is, as yet, no direct evidence any oncogene responsible for initiation or maintenance human cancer. Yet it widely held belief such not only forthcoming, but outlines already discernible. Current dogma maintains proto-oncogenes, normal unmodified gene counterparts oncogenes, play complex fundamental roles control cellular growth and other functions unrelated proliferation. multifaceted has been extensively reported. Oncogenes, being permuted variants involved, therefore, perturbing mechanisms these genes with end result neoplasia. In chapter we will discuss relatively limited amount available information on status both proto-oncogenes oncogenes melanoma premalignant prescursor tissues. Further, interrelatedness melanocyte-melanoma differentiation programs process transformation.
