摘要: This paper presents the design and performance characteristics of a system designed to interface between PCI Express port an optical packet switched network as well provide inline test capability for whole system. A single lane traffic is inverse multiplexed across eight parallel channels retransmitted in burst at aggregate data rates 20 36 Gbps. Testing options include loopback self-test, synthesis substitution in-line with or place data, variable channel-to-channel skew. The I/O interfaces also support range analog parameters such peak output amplitude, amplitude swing, common mode ranges input evaluate adapt changes opto-electronic components. flexibility allows use more conventional electronic applications little no required modifications.
