摘要: The first experiment on the decharging of a complex plasma in microgravity conditions was conducted. After switching off rf power, afterglow plasma, ions and electrons rapidly recombine leave cloud charged microparticles. Because microgravity, particles remain suspended experimental chamber for sufficiently long time, allowing precise measurements rest particle charge. A simple theoretical model is proposed which agrees quite well with results predicts charge at lower gas pressures.
