摘要: Bromate is a well known by-product produced by the ozonisation of drinking water; allowed concentration for human 21 consumption has to be regulated low mg l range. A direct injection, ion chromatographic method was developed using tetraborate eluent with serially connected conductivity and spectrophotometric detection. detected after post-column reaction fuchsin at 520 nm. Sample capacity investigated injecting large volumes (up 6 ml) high total hardness chloride tap water. Linear correlation bromate response from 1 ml demonstrated, main limitation being overlapping peak bromate. Up 1.5 sample can injected without any pre-treatment. With more than injection volume, pre-treatment cartridge in Ag H form, followed 10 min degassing an ultrasonic bath, needed. This validated analysing secondary reference materials real samples water treatment plant. The linear limit quantification 20 . Reproducibilities were 18% (5 m gl ,n512) 21% (1 ,n54) respectively detection, 17% 0.5 (n59)
