摘要: The aims of this study were to obtain the most recent representative data for prevalence diabetes in adult populations World Health Organisation's South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions quantify contribution burden mortality from cardiovascular diseases these regions. Previous reports indicate that there are 83 million individuals with Asia-Pacific region, but since many country-specific estimates not nationally studies, figure may accurately reflect current diabetes. Information on was obtained by searching Medline government health websites. Data available 12 countries representing 78% total population region. Six 10 complete reported a exceeding those currently cited Organization; three which have also already exceeded Organization projections 2030. In region data, ranged 2.6% 15.1%. Hazard ratios Cohort Studies Collaboration used calculate attributable fractions fatal Population 2% 12% coronary heart disease, 1% 6% haemorrhagic stroke, 11% ischaemic stroke. Accurate great importance standard methods needed periodic surveillance across elsewhere.
