摘要: Compared the archival neuropsychological data of 15 frontotemporal dementia (FTD) patients (mean age 63.9 yrs), 16 Alzheimer's disease (AD) 70.3 and controls were compared. Controls outperformed both patient groups on measures verbal nonverbal memory, executive ability, constructional skill, with AD showing more widespread memory decline. Patient differed only in FTD performing significantly better than patients. also pattern performance across domains. Specifically, exhibited greater impairment tasks, whereas opposite characterized group. Findings suggest that examination relative rankings scores cognitive domains, addition to interpretation individual scores, may be useful differential diagnosis vs AD.
