摘要: Having shown that lactate is an important product of glucose metabolism by rat epididymal adipocytes, we investigated possible regional differences in adipocyte production and the role animals' nutritional state stage development. [U-14C]glucose metabolism, production, response to insulin were measured fat cells isolated from four adipose regions (subcutaneous, epididymal, retroperitoneal, mesenteric) young lean older fatter rats, killed either fed or after fasting for 48 h. In absence insulin, mesenteric age group metabolized significantly more per cell converted than other depots, regardless state. Adipocytes fasted rats showed a significant increase (approximately 30%) relative conversion all depots when compared with rats. Fasting however, had limited effects on since was already high (40-50% metabolized). Mesenteric lowest possibly due basal rate metabolism. These findings indicate exist among rates insulin. The anatomical location depot, coupled metabolic blood perfusion, suggests adipocytes may provide unique direct contribution substrates hepatic depots.
