摘要: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) has a poor prognosis and is found disseminated at first presentation in the majority of cases. The biological mechanisms underlying metastasis drug resistance are not clear. SCLC characterized by high numbers circulating tumor cells (CTCs) we were able to expand several CTC lines ex vivo relate chitinase-3-like-1/YKL-40 (CHI3L1) as marker. Availability expanded allowed for screening receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) expressed. metastatic CHI3L1-negative line SCLC26A, established from pleural effusion was used comparison. BHGc10 exhibit increased expression RYK, AXL, Tie-1, Dtk, ROR1/2, ephrins (Eph) FGF/EGF receptors compared SCLC26A. All these RTKs have been associated with motility, invasion diverse entities without knowledge their association CTCs. identification AXL ROR1/2 pseudokinases, lacking activity, seems be related observed failure RTK inhibitors SCLC. These involved noncanonical WNT pathway CTCs represents stem cell-like phenotype.
