摘要: Here we have provided a brief account of some recent advances in the study eukaryotic transcriptional regulation. It now appears that at least portion RNA polymerase II resides preassembled complexes containing various GTFs and multiple other protein subunits. One GTFs, TFIID, is multifunctional complex participates core promoter DNA recognition both TATA boxes initiator elements, while also acting as mediator activation by contacting domains. The importance protein–protein contacts well documented, but how these interactions ultimately result enhanced levels transcription will need further study. Finally, must remember most natural promoters contain regulatory regions with unique sequences binding sites for distinct activators repressors. therefore increasingly evident future studies intricacies regulation should include more detailed examinations role gene-specific elements macromolecular directing from native promoters.
