摘要: Laccase polymerization of caffeic acid and isoeugenol was shown to enhance their antimicrobial activity versus Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli in liquid media. Unbleached kraft liner fibres were reacted with laccase the presence different phenol compounds possessing increase efficacy through a covalent binding lignin present on fibres. The handsheet paper obtained by antibacterial surface process (LASP) showed greater against Gram positive negative bacteria than treated only monomeric derivatives. Antimicrobial function grafted structure, time treatment concentration In this several tested: acids, essential oils components dopamine. LASP or p-hydroxybenzoic produced handsheets strong bactericidal effect S. even at low monomer (4 mM), whereas higher reaction mixture required kill E. coli. Among tested compounds, most effective: isoeugenol/LASP, besides killing aureus, bacteriostatic more resistant spore forming Bacillus subtilis. dopamine effective bacteria. grafting polymerized oligomeric phenolic structures onto fibre might be partially responsible enhanced displayed phenols.
