摘要: Total IgA, IgM, IgG, and IgG subclasses were measured in 136 consecutive adults with recurrent respiratory infections. Sinus chest radiographs also obtained. antibodies to H. influenzae tetanus toxoid determined 27 immunodeficient subjects. Fifty-eight of the deficient some immunoglobulin isotype, three 52 total or one more subclasses. The most common deficiencies single subclass deficiencies, particularly IgG3 IgG4, a mild decrease (between 450 650 mg/dL). In 21/27 subjects deficiency, response booster immunization was blunted, even when IgG1 IgG2 normal. Thirty-eight patients smokers, 37 being > 40 years age at onset Twenty nonsmokers, 19 < onset. conclusion, infections frequently have variant often associated functional impairment specific antibody response. Smoking may represent risk factor for deficiency adults.
