摘要: Because the gut microbiota contributes to host nutrition, health and behavior, microbial community composition differs according phylogeny, co-evolution is believed have been an important mechanism in formation of host-gut microbe relationship. However, current research not ideal for examining this theme. Most studies are performed controlled settings, but strongly influenced by environmental factors. To truly explore microbe, it necessary data describing host-microbe dynamics natural environments with variation factors such as climate, food availability, disease prevalence, behavior. In review, I use knowledge potential interactions between habitats. These include influence habitat on well impacts fitness a given habitat. Based what we currently know, connections habitat, microbiota, great. Studies wild animals will be essential next step test these advance our understanding co-evolution.
