Design and Optimization of SiON Ring Resonator-Based Biosensors for Aflatoxin M1 Detection.

摘要: In this article, we designed and studied silicon oxynitride (SiON) microring-based photonic structures for biosensing applications. We waveguides, directional couplers, racetrack resonators in order to measure refractive index changes smaller than 10−6 units (RIU). tested various samples with different SiON indexes as well the waveguide dimensions selecting sensor best performance. Propagation losses bending have been measured on test structures, along a complete characterization of resonator’s performances. Sensitivities limit detection (LOD) were also using glucose-water solutions compared expected results from simulations. Finally, functionalized resonator performed sensing experiments Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1). able detect binding aflatoxin concentrations low 12.5 nm. The open up path designing cost-effective biosensors fast reliable sensitive analysis AFM1 milk.
