摘要: We used data on 22,899 cancer cases collected by the New Mexico Tumor Registry to examine relationship between patient age and use of potentially curative therapy for cancers selected sites acute leukemias. For most sites, either local or regional stage, proportion receiving declined with age. local-stage cancers, not given any treatment increased Overall mortality rates during first year after diagnosis were much higher without than those who received treatment. These show that varies suggest decision making regarding is influenced presence other diseases. ( JAMA 1986;255:3385-3390)
