摘要: Spontaneous chronic corneal epithelial defects (SCCEDs) in dogs are typically found middle-aged of all breeds. These may be present for weeks to months, particularly if left untreated or treated inappropriately. Typical histopathological findings include loss the basement membrane and formation a superficial, acellular, hyalinized zone stroma. Together, these histological abnormalities lead delayed wound healing poor adhesion. Epithelial debridement, anterior stromal puncture, grid keratotomy, superficial keratectomy most common treatment options applied defects. Procedures that address changes generally have higher success rate than debridement alone.
