摘要: The NLRP3 inflammasome is an intracellular multi-protein complex that triggers caspase-1 mediated maturation of interleukin-1β (IL-1β); one the most potent mediators inflammation and a major cytokine produced during severe infections, like sepsis. However, excessive levels seem to stage for tissue injury organ failure, high IL-1β correlates with severity mortality Instead, recent data suggest function as guardian against infections. CARD8 has been implied regulate synthesis via interaction caspase-1. In years, polymorphism (C10X) per se or in combination (Q705K) implicated increased risk inflammation. aim was investigate correlation these polymorphisms blood stream infection. Human DNA extracted from culture bottles were found be positive microbial growth (i.e. patients bacteraemia). Polymorphisms Q705K gene C10X genotyped using TaqMan genotyping assay. results compared healthy controls samples negative cultures. significantly over-represented among bacteraemia controls, whereas not associated higher prevalence.
