摘要: Deming and Stephan (1940) first proposed the use of an iterative proportional fitting procedure to estimate cell probabilities in a contingency table subject certain marginal constraints. In this paper we relate variety sources statistical problems. We then describe geometrically for two-way tables using concepts presented Fienberg (1968). This geometrical description leads rather simple proof convergence procedure. conclude with discussion extensions multi-dimensional some zero entries.
