摘要: Elk jaar worden in Nederland ruim duizend splenectomieen verricht, na trauma of wegens een onderliggend hematologisch oncologisch lijden. Personen zonder milt hebben sterk verhoogd risico op ernstig verlopende infecties (‘postsplenectomy infection’) (1).
