Uneasy Alliances: Lessons Learned from Partnerships Between Businesses and NGOs in the context of CSR

摘要: Interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has proliferated academic and business circles alike. In the context of CSR, spotlight traditionally focused on role private sector particularly view its wealth global reach. Other actors have recently begun to assume more visible roles including Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which acquired increasing prominence socio-economic landscape. This article examines five partnerships between businesses NGOs a developing country that fall realm CSR. The starts with literature review, delineating foundational underpinnings be carefully designed crafted promote success collaborative ventures. An empirical study selected Lebanon is then presented, allowing derive interesting insights into types existing alliances, their relational characteristics as well salient factors considered most determinant or failure this regard.
