Strength of adhesively bonded single-lap and lap-shear joints

摘要: Abstract A simple solution procedure of predicting the strength adhesively bonded single-lap and lap-shear unbalanced joints with nonlinear adhesive properties was developed by following global/local analysis Goland Reissner (1944). Simple formulas for shear peel strain energy rates were obtained in terms longitudinal membrane forces bending moments adherends after neglecting related to transverse forces. Two failure criteria suggested then validated comparing measured envelopes correlating strengths joints. It shown that could yield an over estimation both relatively stiff adhesive.
