摘要: Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer worldwide, and particularly more in Indian population. Hence, research increasingly examining factors involved disease development. In present study, we examined effect of MTHFR (5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) C677T A1298C polymorphisms ALL. Blood samples 135 children with ALL 142 matched controls were analysed. The presence screened using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism based approaches. frequency 677CC, 677CT 677TT genotypes 37.77%, 57.03% 5.18% cases 55.63%, 40.84% 3.52% controls, respectively. Frequencies 1298AA, 1298AC 1298CC 30.37%, 61.48% 8.14% 45.77%, 47.88% 6.33% study inidcates that there an association between gene variants also showed a gender bias. frequencies 677CC 33.33% 65.51% males 45.83% 41.66% females. 26.43%, 67.81% 5.74% 37.5%, 50.0% 12.5% females, It evident male susceptible to compared female children. Associations found these studies significant respect bias; hence, it possible can be good markers for Moreover, possibility exists may influenced by folate uptake mothers during pregnancy, thereby influencing enzyme activity ethnicity date. bias reported first time.
