摘要: Infection of an aortic prosthesis is a severe condition with high morbidity and mortality rates. Surgical treatment infected graft focuses on the infection maintaining or restoring perfusion lower limbs. Traditionally, this done by removing graft, extensive debridement, constructing extra-anatomic bypass, usually axillobifemoral bypass (AXBF). The disappointing early results these reconstructions prompted various surgeons to develop new surgical options secure limb perfusion. With upcoming role in situ reconstructions, AXBF being scrutinized. Patients are often critically ill, interplay patient fitness seriousness disease must lead tailor-made strategy. Most have surpassed almost every aspect. After having held position gold standard for years, now part wide array limited indications.
