摘要: Remote sensing and GIS play a vital role in exploration assessment of groundwater has wide application detection, monitoring, assessment, conservation various other fields groundwater-related studies. In this research work, delineation potential zone Birbhum district been carried out. Various thematic layers viz. geology, geomorphology, soil type, elevation, lineament fault density, slope, drainage land use/land cover, texture, rainfall are digitized transformed into raster data ArcGIS 10.3 environment as input factors. Thereafter, multi-influencing factor (MIF) technique is employed where ranks weights, assigned to each computed statistically. Finally, zones classified four categories namely low, medium, high very zone. It observed that 18.41% (836.86 km2) 34.41% (1563.98 km2) the study area falls under ‘low’ ‘medium’ zone, respectively. Approximately 1601.19 km2 accounting for 35.23% ‘high’ category ‘very high’ encompasses an 542.98 km2 11.95% total area. model generated validated with reported yield wells Success prediction rate curve reveals accuracy achievement 83.03 78%, The outcome present work will help local authorities, researchers, decision makers planners formulating better planning management resources future perspectives.
