摘要: Groundwater contamination and vulnerability in urbanized areas are of major concern need proper attention. Several models including the DRASTIC model used to evaluate groundwater vulnerability. In present study, a modified named as DRASTICA was used, by anthropogenic influence parameter. The study included an innovative methodology characterize using satellite observations night-lights from human settlements proxy land-use/land-cover surrounding area Lucknow, capital city most populous State Uttar Pradesh India. Geographical information system for spatial integration different parameter maps. groundwater pollution indicated that about 0.7 % is covered under very high vulnerable zone, 24.5 % 66.6 % moderately zone 8.2 % low zone. results were validated nitrate concentration ground water. It shown proposed performed better than conventional environment. Sensitivity analysis impact depth water table largely influenced pollution, thereby signifying has be addressed precisely such studies. modified-DRASTIC/DRASTICA this will help categorization zones where high, particularly around urban centers.
