摘要: Kraepelin originally defined dementia praecox as a progressive brain disease, although this concept has received various degrees of acceptance and rejection over the years since his famous published textbooks appeared. This article places an historical perspective on current renewal Kraepelin's in imaging literature that supports change schizophrenia from its earliest stages through chronic course. It is concluded great deal future research needed focusing longitudinal course change, extent to regions within each individual underlying mechanism implications functional neurochemical imaging, combined with structural studies same individuals.
