摘要: The predation rate of fifth instars and female adults Orius laevigatus (Fieber) fed honeybee pollen, Ephestia kuehniella Zeller eggs or an egg yolk based artificial diet on second the western flower thrips Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) was examined in laboratory. Predation both not influenced by their diet. Despite a lower body weight, O. reared pollen killed as many prey peers E. eggs, suggesting that weight is reliable predictor rate. use non-prey foods for mass production supplementary food to sustain its populations field when are scarce discussed.
