摘要: The effect of various diets on nymphal development and survival two predaceous anthocorid bugs,Orius albidipennis (Reuter) andO. laevigatus (Fieber) was investigated in the laboratory. Five different were compared: eggs ofEphestia kuehniella Zeller; ofE. plus mixed flower pollen; only pollen from sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L. cv. Mazurka) flowers; plants. A high percentage predators successfully completed those containing lepidopterous eggs. When fed pollen, percentages 65% forO. 38% albidipennis. No nymphs either species stage or Development significantly faster kuehniella. Results are discussed relation to capability bugs survive periods prey scarcity optimization release strategies for these greenhouse.
