摘要: Ecologists have been largely interested in the description and understanding of power scaling relationships between body size abundance organisms. Many studies focused on estimating exponents these functions across taxonomic groups spatial scales, to draw inferences about processes underlying this pattern. The usually approximate -3/4 at geographical but they deviate from value when smaller extensions are considered. This has led propose that size-abundance small scales may reflect impact environmental changes. study tests hypothesis by examining spectra benthic shrimps (Decapoda: Caridea) snails (Gastropoda) Tamiahua lagoon, a brackish water located Eastern coast Mexico. We mea- sured quality parameters (dissolved oxygen, salinity, pH, temperature, sediment organic matter chemical oxygen demand) sampled macrofauna during three different climatic conditions year (cold, dry rainy season). Given most individuals macrofaunal samples, we used volume, instead weight, estimate their size. Body both were described tabulating data each season into base-2 logarithmic bins. In groups, observed frequencies per class standardized yield densities (i.e., individuals/m 3 ). Nonlinear regression analyses separately performed for group assess whether followed functions. Additionally, group, multiple determine varied among seasons. Our results indicated that, while functions, defining shape These variations seems be related changes within classes, which follow seasonal occur lagoon. Thus, relation- ships influenced frequency intensity affecting ecosystem. Rev. Biol. Trop. 64 (1): 33-44. Epub 2016 March 01.
