摘要: One hundred fifty-nine patients with squamous-cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, oropharynx, nasopharynx, hypopharynx, and supraglottic larynx, clinically negative neck (Stage NO) were reviewed to determine value elective irradiation (ENI). The primary cancer was controlled in 125 patients; these failure rate 1.9% ENI 18% without ENI. Recurrence cases where associated an increased risk death due cancer. not 34 25% 67% Ten 11 whom treatment failed both at site died despite attempts surgical salvage. may be local tongue lesions as a result decreased proportion given interstitial therapy.
