摘要: The actin cell cortex in eukaryotic cells is a key player controlling and maintaining the shape of cells, driving major changes such as cytokinesis. It thereby constantly being remodeled. Cell require forces acting on membranes that are generated by interplay membrane coupled filaments assemblies myosin motors. Little known about how their interaction regulates remodeling changes. Because vital importance actin, motors membrane, selective vivo experiments manipulations often difficult to perform or not feasible. Thus, intelligent design minimal vitro systems for actin-myosin-membrane interactions could pave way investigating mechanics detailed quantitative manner. Here, we present discuss several bottom-up accomplishing coupling artificial membranes, where parameters densities properties can be varied controlled Insights gained from these may help uncover fundamental principles exactly govern © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
