摘要: 143 autopsy cases of multiple sclerosis (19 acute and 124 chronic cases) were analysed histologically for the extent active demyelination degree infiltration within outside demyelinating lesions in leptomeninges. The results compared with duration illness. Infiltrations found 60% all but more often (74%) those demyelination. Inflammatory foci observed 27% total, 80% them was present. meninges present 41% total these accompanied by illness correlated decreasing severity perivascular infiltration. Patients treated cortico-steroids and/or immunosuppressive substances showed no or only moderate inflammatory lesions. both groups significantly longer than average untreated patients. significance pathological findings CSF cytology is discussed.
